InScope

A new cultural event, with emerging art at its center.

InScope creates events around emerging contemporary art and the people drawn to it. The first edition runs December 1–6, 2026, on the sand at Ocean Drive and 8th Street in Miami Beach, during Miami Art Week.

What it is

Art at the center, and a week built around it.

Gallery exhibitions and large-scale Feature Projects sit alongside conversations, shared meals and evenings on the beach. Four things shape the week.

  1. The site

More than 220,000 square feet on the sand, with indoor and outdoor art installations, four gallery pavilions, and shared spaces for conversation, programming, hospitality and entertainment. The layout makes discovery part of the walk.

  2. The rhythm of the day

Mornings begin with wellness on the sand. Days bring artist and collector conversations and group learning across cultural, lifestyle and business interests. Evenings bring dinners, receptions, private tours, gatherings and musical performances.

  3. Time to connect

Conversations, shared meals and informal places to gather give you time with artists, gallerists and people across culture and industry. What starts here can become a collection, a commission, a collaboration, a friendship or a business relationship.

  4. A welcome across generations

First-time buyers and established collectors share the same conversation. If you are new to collecting, you belong here. If you have collected for years, expect to feel the excitement of discovery again.

Who it’s for

Different interests, the same six days on the sand.

Miami Art Week brings more than 100,000 people to Miami Beach, with different interests and ambitions, connected by the art that brought them there. InScope is built to turn that proximity into connection.

  • Artists and galleries

Meet new collectors and collaborators, and the people who discover and collect your work.

  • Collectors

Whether you are buying your first work or adding to a collection you have built for decades, the art is the starting point.

  • Founders, business leaders and investors

Exchange ideas and build relationships across industries, through the things you care about as a person.

  • Technologists, designers, entertainers and creators

Programs across wealth and technology, mental health and wellness, the creator economy, entertainment, music and design.

Who’s behind it

Twenty-five years of championing emerging artists and galleries.

InScope was created by Matt Middleton, Alexis Hubshman, Hayley River Smith and the team behind SCOPE Art Show. Its first edition introduces a new format, built to deepen the relationships between artists, the galleries that represent them, and the people who discover and collect their work.

  • “Interesting people are interested in more than one thing. Miami Art Week brings them to the same city and InScope is designed to bring them into shared conversation.”

    Matt Middleton

    Co-Founder and CEO

  • “We’ve seen how a first encounter with an artist or gallery can shape someone’s life as a collector. With InScope, we’re creating more opportunities for those encounters, with the space and time for them to become lasting relationships.”

    Alexis Hubshman

Co-Founder and President, founder of SCOPE Art Show

  • “For our first edition, we want people to encounter the work in a way that feels personal. There isn’t only one way to experience art.”

    Hayley River Smith

    Director
