Devin Liston

Portrait of Devin Liston

About the artist

Devin Liston is a Seattle-based painter who first gained recognition in Los Angeles through acclaimed art collectives before turning to solo work in 2014. His paintings and murals build multidimensional amalgams from childhood nostalgia, sports and media culture, politics, the household mundane, and otherworldly themes. His practice moves between two complementary modes, one highly intentional and preconceived, the other surreal and stream-of-consciousness. Each work follows two rules: it begins from a foundation and builds outward, and it resolves within the constraints of the canvas or site.

Dana Blume

Portrait of Dana Blume

About the artist

Dana Blume is a Seattle-based artist working primarily in drawing and painting. He received his BFA in drawing and painting from California State University, Long Beach in 2019 and his MFA from the University of Washington in 2023. His work investigates the personal and collective subconscious through the surrealist tradition of automatic drawing and the human tendency to find images and symbols in abstract phenomena. He draws on the visual structures of European art history, American iconography, and popular and underground culture.
