About the gallery
Collective Z is a contemporary art gallery at 325 Broome Street on New York’s Lower East Side, founded in February 2026 by painter Alex Z. Wang. The gallery provides a platform for artists whose work lives in transition, tension and becoming, choosing risk and rigor over trend. Its program spans both ends of a career, from artists showing for the first time to late-career artists ready for rediscovery.
About the artist
Mitchell Craig is a lifelong New York painter trained at Parsons School of Design. His DECADES project distills archives of 1950s imagery into boldly composed oils; Travelogue, his solo presentation with Collective Z, turns to mid-century American leisure as an investigation and a satire. He works from his studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
