About the gallery

Founded in 2025 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Galería SURCO is an artist-founded platform dedicated to the representation and international visibility of emerging and established artists. Its name comes from the surco, the furrow that receives the seed, and that image guides everything it does: careers are cultivated with patience, not harvested for a season. Through a rigorous curatorial program, SURCO brings artists, collectors, and new audiences into close dialogue with the work. It fosters a culture of collecting that is conscious, accessible, and built to last. At a moment of renewed vitality in the Caribbean, SURCO tends the ground so its artists can take root, be seen, and endure.
