ADIENY

Portrait of ADIENY

About the artist

Adieny Núñez aka ADIENY is an abstract painter whose work explores color, intuition, and the emotional weight carried within a gesture. Working through layers of acrylic paint, drawing, and written fragments, she builds compositions that are both energetic and reflective. Bold passages of electric blues, fluorescent pinks, vibrant yellows, and deep blacks collide across the surface, creating spaces where movement, memory, and personal reflection intersect.

For ADIENY, painting is a process of discovery. Each work develops through a series of deliberate decisions balanced with moments of spontaneity, allowing the composition to reveal itself over time. Text occasionally emerges within the layers, offering traces of thought rather than fixed narratives. These elements become part of a larger visual language that invites viewers to engage with the work through their own experiences and associations.

Her paintings embrace the complexity of change, growth, and self-awareness. Through vibrant color relationships, expressive mark-making, and accumulated layers of paint, ADIENY creates works that reflect both internal and external transformation. The resulting compositions are open-ended and deeply personal, encouraging moments of pause, reflection, and connection.

“I paint the way some people pray — slowly, layer by layer, listening for what wants to come through.” - ADIENY

About the artist

Kai & Sunny – Studio of Kai Clements Kai Clements is a UK-based artist whose work explores movement, rhythm and spatial perception through intricate compositions of flowing lines and form. He graduated with First Class Honours before exhibiting internationally for over two decades.

Since 2016, Clements has focused on developing a distinctive body of acrylic paintings on linen, characterised by layered linear forms, shifting compositions and a strong sense of movement. Drawing inspiration from the rhythms of the natural world and the unseen forces that shape our environment, his work investigates the relationship between order and unpredictability, precision and spontaneity. A lifelong engagement with surf and skateboarding culture has also influenced his visual language, reinforcing his fascination with movement, rhythm and flow.

Alongside his studio practice, the Kai & Sunny name has become recognised for collaborations across art, design and culture. Long-standing creative partnerships with artists including Shepard Fairey and D*Face, together with projects spanning multiple disciplines, have continually informed and expanded Clements’ approach to making work.

Kai & Sunny has exhibited internationally, with exhibitions and projects across New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Hong Kong, Paris and London. The work has been presented at Haunch of Venison and is included in the Victoria and Albert Museum Print Archive Collection.

“I am fascinated by the power of the natural world and the invisible forces that shape our experience of it. My work explores rhythms, energies and frequencies that exist beneath the surface of what we see. Lines push and pull against one another, suspended between tension and release, while others move freely through the composition. Through colour, light and movement, I seek to create immersive works that invite discovery and connection.” — Kai Clements
