About the gallery
Momento is an art project space dedicated to fostering creative dialogue, and supporting artists through meaningful opportunities to create and connect. Serving as a point of convergence for diverse perspectives, we cultivate experiences that inspire community, spark conversation, and expand access to contemporary art beyond traditional institutions.
About the artist
Miami-based artist Jonlouis Gonzalez creates work that explores humanity’s spiritual and physical relationship with the natural world and our role to preserve traditional knowledge for the future. In 2021, Gonzalez’s journey ramped new heights when SpaceX selected him for Inspiration4, the world’s first all-civilian space mission. His artwork became the first in history to orbit the Earth, circling our planet for three days before returning home.
