About the gallery

Pali Galería, from Mexico City, works with and represents Latin American emerging artists. They started working with Mexican artists and this year expanded to work with artists from Latin America. For this year’s edition of InScope Art Fair, Pali Galería is exhibiting artwork from three Mexican artists, displaying the depth that their country’s art has to offer. Citlali Haro reveals how her reality and dreams intertwine in a show of contemporary Mexican Surrealism, Triana Parera unmasks and displays the relation between matter, time, and perception, and Andrés Anza is a sculptor who uses excessive surface texture to transmit dynamic movement.

Citlali Haro

Portrait of Citlali Haro

About the artist

Citlali Haro’s work lies in the intention of creating a narrative based on the juxtaposition of dreams with reality, as well as mundane situations with tinges of irony. Their process is a mixture of digital and analog tools, trying to leave a little of both processes directly captured. One of the most present themes in her work is the relationship with the dreamlike subconscious, psychological disorders, existentialism, the constant criticism of domestic comfort and the metabolic disconnection with the outside. Citlali’s work has been exhibited in different cities and galleries around the world such as Noox Gallery in Miami, aMBUSH Gallery in Sydney, Brick Lane Gallery in London, the Anahuacalli Museum in Mexico City and more.

Andres Anza

Portrait of Andres Anza

About the artist

Andres Anza works primarily in ceramics, employing the medium to create amorphous beings that appear to belong to a familiar ecosystem yet remain fundamentally unrecognizable, as they emerge from an abstract and intuitive imagination. His practice explores the intersection between the artisanal and the artistic, incorporating elements of craft to complement and expand his artistic language, emphasizing volume, relief, and an intentionally excessive surface texture, encouraging a dynamic and a multi-perspective engagement with each piece. Rather than offering a singular viewpoint, his sculptures demand to be observed from multiple angles, transforming the act of looking into an exercise of recognition and a confrontation with the unknown.

Andrés has participated in numerous exhibitions across the world, including the Emerging Art Biennial and the UNAM Biennial, where he received Honorable Mentions in Mexico, Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Galleria Anna Marra in Rome, DT22 in Zurich, Guldagergaard in Denmark, and Bentley Gallery in Phoenix. While Anza’s work has been presented internationally in the United States, Italy, Spain, France, Denmark, England, Switzerland, and South Africa, his notable highlights include his participation in the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize and the Officine Saffi Award exhibitions, where he was awarded First Prize and an artistic residency, respectively.
