Rosalie art gallery
Sébastien Royez

About the gallery
The Rosalie art gallery was established in early 2026 in Aix-en-Provence, France. Its mission is to promote one emerging artist each year, providing support for their creative practice and, most importantly, facilitating the presentation of their work at select art fairs. This year, we are showcasing the French painter Sébastien Royez (born 1971) and his series “The Guardians,” which features his unique reinterpretation of masks.
The gallery has participated in several international art fairs, including Lille Art Up! (France), Art 3F Paris, the Abidjan Art Fair (Côte d’Ivoire), the Marrakech Art Fair (Morocco), and Alba (Italy).

About the artist
Sébastien Royez (born 1971, France) is a multidisciplinary artist—a painter and photographer—whose work spans both Marrakech and France. Having trained in Belgium and Paris, he has developed a practice shaped by a background that blends art, design, and art direction.
Since 2017, his work has centered on the motif of the African mask, which he explores and reinterprets through a contemporary aesthetic, bridging the realms of painting and photography. His work, imbued with symbolism and mystery, has been exhibited at: In Africa: Art Fair Abidjan, Marrakech Art Fair, Gallery Villa Houda (Casablanca), and Gallery Conil (Tangier). In Europe: Lille Art Up (2025 and 2026), Art 3F Paris (2025), Gallery Spacio14 (Alba, Italy) and Gallery Sablon (Brussels), and Galerie Le Container (Aix-en-Provence, 2025).
