About the artist
Brooke Fierce Bronner is a contemporary painter based in Washington, DC, whose work explores the intimacy of everyday rituals, the quiet choreography of human connection, and the beauty of Black leisure. Through scenes of domestic life, friendly competition, and cultural memory, her paintings celebrate how Black people gather, talk ish, play, and make one another better through proximity, love, and shared rhythm. Her practice brings visibility to moments of ease, joy, and belonging, affirming Black leisure as an experience worthy of being seen and celebrated.
Bronner has exhibited at Thread at Union Market, Zenith Gallery, Transformer, Chela Mitchell Gallery, and Umbrella Art Fair, Street Theory Collective as well as with Long Gallery on Martha’s Vineyard.
At Tanya Weddemire Gallery, her work has been presented in BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE and BUYART WITHIN REACH, connecting her practice with new audiences and collectors. Her work has been featured in Essence and Artsy editorial, and her collaborations include Warby Parker and West Elm. Continuing to explore narrative, craft, and community through painting, Bronner will make her Miami debut with Tanya Weddemire Gallery at InScope 2026.
