MIAMI BEACH, October 29, 2026 — InScope Art Festival announces the participating galleries for its inaugural edition, taking place December 1–6 on the sands of Ocean Drive at 8th Street during Miami Art Week. Bringing together 70+ galleries across 12 countries in four beachfront pavilions, the fair presents a range of contemporary artistic practices and gallery programs in an environment designed to encourage closer looking, unexpected encounters, and conversations that extend beyond the exhibition floor.
At InScope, galleries are more than the point of presentation; they are active participants in how artists are discovered, understood, and collected. The inaugural roster brings distinct gallery programs and artistic perspectives into conversation, inviting visitors to encounter unfamiliar work, spend time with new practices, and discover artists beyond their existing frames of reference.
Prioritizing the quality of individual encounters over the quantity of work on view, the new format reflects InScope’s belief that meaningful engagement with art requires more than bringing work together in one place. By creating space for individual gallery perspectives and encouraging visitors to spend time with the work and the people presenting it, InScope aims to foster encounters that extend beyond a first impression.
“We don’t believe a better art fair is simply a bigger one,” said Hayley River Smith, Director of InScope. “We’ve been intentional about the number of galleries in our inaugural edition because we want to challenge the idea that a successful fair is one where you see as much as possible. For us, discovery happens when something makes you stop, when you spend time with a presentation, meet the people behind it, or encounter an artist you didn’t know you were looking for. We want people to leave with something they couldn’t have planned to find. That requires giving the work, the galleries, and the people encountering it room to connect.”

The participating galleries span a range of artistic practices and approaches to presentation, from paintings by Auudi Dorsey with Mortal Machine Gallery, Candice Tavares’s wooden collages presented by Tanya Weddemire Gallery and Lærke Lillelund’s fiber sculptures with Offering, to Rochelle Voyles’s collage works at 81 Leonard Gallery, Yvonne Mak’s fabric works with Salon 21, and metal photo works from Sam Dybeck with Scrying. Together, these presentations reflect the breadth of contemporary art on view, offering visitors opportunities to move between distinct materials, processes, and perspectives, and discover artists and practices they may not have encountered otherwise.
“Our approach to gallery selection is rooted in curiosity, strong artistic perspectives, and a belief in the importance of taking creative risks,” said Blayne Planit, the Head of Exhibitor Services. “We’re less interested in a singular aesthetic than in bringing together programs that challenge, complement, and expand one another. For me, the most exciting part of building InScope is the opportunity to work closely with galleries that have such individual points of view. We want to celebrate that individuality while creating a sense of dialogue between programs, artists, and collectors that might not otherwise cross paths.”
For InScope, the gallery presentation is the starting point for engagement. The surrounding Feature Projects and wider program of conversations and experiences offer additional ways to encounter art, inviting visitors to move between individual presentations and the broader cultural experience. Whether meeting a gallery for the first time, spending time with an artist’s work, or discovering a new perspective on a familiar practice, visitors are invited to explore on their own terms.
Building on 25 years of experience championing emerging artists and galleries through SCOPE Art Show, InScope introduces a new event format that connects contemporary art with the wider cultural communities gathering in Miami Beach. Across more than 220,000 square feet, gallery exhibitions sit alongside large-scale installations, site-specific works, networking, programming, hospitality, and shared experiences.
The gallery floor will be open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM ET, Wednesday, December 2, through Sunday, December 6, following a VIP and press preview on December 1.
